Mathew Henry - Christ came to give life and perisson ti - something more, something better, life with advantage; that in Christ we might not only live, but live comfortably, live plentifully, live and rejoice.
1 Kor 6:12
Alles is my geoorloof, maar nie alles is nuttig nie; alles is my geoorloof, maar ek sal my nie deur iets laat oorheers nie.
Message
Just because something is
technically legal doesn't mean that it's spiritually appropriate. If I went
around doing whatever I thought I could get by with, I'd be a slave to my
whims.
Jes 44
'n Deel van die hout
verbrand hy: hy maak kos daarmee gaar, hy braai vleis en eet tot hy genoeg het;
“Red my, want jy is my god!”
stuk hout buig?”
Iemand wat hom met as besig
hou, laat hom mislei deur sy
eie verdraaide opvattings.
my besig hou nie?”
Voorbeelde:
- Genot en plesier
- Om in beheer te wees
- Om Betekenisvolheid te vind in mense
John Brysen stel dit as volg
– The need for contol tells us the funamental lie that “if I can just maintain
influence or mastery over this situation, people in my life, my performance, my
schedule, my income, or whatever ......... THEN I’ll be okay, content,
dominate, strong and safe”
·
Fears for your safety and the safety of those
you love.
·
Fears about how you will die: disease,
cancer, being alone, broke, drowning, in a plane crash
·
Fears about what happens after death, being
forgotten, judged, extinct
·
Fears about living a meaningless life
·
Fears about being unloved or alone
·
Fears about being in love and then hurt or
abandoned
·
Fears about what you might lose: a friend,
your girlfriend, your hair, your youth, your mind, money, your job, your
spouse, your health, your purpose, or even your faith.

Hoe
beweeg ek van gevangene na Vryheid?
2
Kor 10:3-5
...want die wapens van ons
stryd is nie vleeslik nie, maar kragtig
deur God om vestings neer te
werp,
Kragtig – Dunamus – explosive
power – devine power om te vernietig
Vestings – a prisoner locked
by deception –
Message
The world is unprincipled.
It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or
fight our battles that way--never have and never will.
The tools of our trade
aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire
massively corrupt culture.
We use our powerful
God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected
against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse
into the structure of life shaped by Christ.
Steve Snider se - "Here’s the deal, God’s grace gives us the freedom to drop
the mask. To be honest with ourselves and others. To quit playing
games. God’s grace is based on His nature not our perfect behavior.
It’s only when we let ourselves be vulnerable and transparent and take off the
mask that His grace can truly penetrate
our soul. That’s when we can experience the freedom that He wants us to
have in Him."
